Description: Vintage Lidded Jar in Form of Jug Italy Large 12.5" Handpainted Country Harvest Scene Fantastic pottery jar with Handpainted countryside scene of adults and child in traditional dress harvesting fruit off trees. The pottery is etched - particularly the branches and leaves of the trees and textured with sandlike grains throughout the exterior surface and finished with a smooth glaze on the inside. The jar measures 12.5" inches tall to top of lid and 6.5" inches in diameter. The jar is signed by the artist on the lower right section of the scene of the harvesting of the fruit in the grassy area but it is illegible. A great piece not only in terms of a work of art but useful storage container as well!
