Description: LARGE Gold Tone Wood Frame Vintage Lady Peel C. Coppier "1912" Print 34"x29"X2.5" The Getty Museum owns the original painting and sells prints on their website for $499. There are currently smaller prints for sale on Amazon for $64. I do not know anything about the print in this frame. Nor do I know how the quality of this print compares to those. The family holding the estate sale where I made the purchase assured me that this framed print had been in the family home since the late 1930's. The children all remembered the picture hanging in the same spot in the dining room during their entire childhoods. I tend to think that when the print was framed that there was probably a “marriage” of the frame and the materials that comprise the backing. Also, there had been a paper covering on the back but only small pieces remain now. It weighs 16.4# without packing. Appears to be in nice condition for the age. I can't tell if it is gold leaf or not. You will have to be the judge. Will ship UPS. Would consider taking it apart to remove the weight of the glass and wood backing to help with shipping cost without lowering the price of the sale.
