Description: This is a wonderful antique Keuffel & Esser Three Compass Set in a Leather Pin Latch Case. It is in near perfect condition. Keuffel & Esser of New York made a variety of Drafting Sets from about 1867 on. This set we are guessing to have been made before 1900 based upon the type of compasses and the pin latch leather case. It is small and very well made. The case measures 3.5 inches by 5 inches and is about 7/8 of an inch thick. It weighs 3.7 ounces. We love these old drafting sets and this one is special because of how rare it is. If you search for Keuffel & Esser Drafting Sets, you will likely find them commonly but none like this one, at least none we could ever find. The Three Compass set is just about impossible to find. It still has the small Keuffel & Esser name plate inside and embossed on the outside of the case. If you are looking for a special gift for someone in one of the drafting trades, an architect, engineer, or draftsman, this is a great idea.
