John Cowden was a wood carving artist from Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Much of his work was animal carvings, especially birds. These 3 beautifully carved Cardinals are perched with sturdy metal legs on driftwood. This is in good condition with minimal wear. There is a small chip on the 1 birds tail feather. On the bottom of the driftwood is remnants of the John Cowden Woodcarvers stamp.
