Description: Japanese Vintage Rare Shuji/Rice Paper Handmade Printing/Calligraphy 178 Pages Total This is incredibly unique vintage handmade Shuji rice paper that was made in Japan. This paper was produced in the 70s. We are selling the two packages shown together. However, it appears my grandfather may have opened one of the packages at one point in time as one package was slightly open, but also partially stapled back together. The other package is stapled shut with small pieces of paper underneath as its original “seal.” It was noticeable to us that the package that was semi opened was slightly lighter than the unopened pack. Therefore, we carefully counted the pieces of paper from the opened package and found there were 78 sheets of paper as opposed to the 100 sheets it should have. Therefore, one package is new and one is partially used as 22 sheets are missing. Nonetheless, they’re in their original packaging with the original front sheet. This is very unique art paper that sells for up to $5.00 per page on other sites. The paper is larger and thinner than regular printing paper. It measures at about 9 1/2”W x 13”H. The papers origin is in Japan, which adds to its extraordinary and valuable nature. This would make a great addition to any vintage or Asian vintage collection. NOTABLE: Please consider this paper is roughly 50 years old. There may be very minimal imperfections on the edges of the opened package. However, each sheet was inspected. There are no tears or major blemishes to any of the pages. Items come from a clean, smoke free environment. **Please feel free to send us a message if you have any questions before purchasing**
