Description: Island Breeze has wide, dark green margins which stand in sharp contrast to the bright yellow centers in Spring. In Summer, the centers become more chartreuse when plants are grown in heavier shade or lighter yellow if they are grown in more sun. The stems are reddish. Stalks of lavender flowers appear in Summer. It gets to be 12" tall and 18" across. Like all Hostas, they prefer shade, especially in Zones 7 and 8. Farther north it can handle some sun. Hardy in Zones 3b-9a. These plants are well rooted plugs and are about 8-10" tall (see last photo). They ship extremely well at this size. They will be shipped out of the pot with the roots wrapped and protected. We may cut back some leaves. It is recommended that you pot these up for a month or two before putting them out in the ground. If you order multiple items you may be overcharged for shipping.
