High Middle Ages is a print our own card game loosely covering the period from 1160-1420 AD. Players attempt to conquer other opponent’s areas to gain control of blocks of areas, such as the English block, or the Scandinavian block to win the game. Also included are events cards, such as Mercenaries, Black Death (plague), and Royal Marriages that dramatically change game play turn by turn. The game uses a simple combat system based upon the Religious, Economic, or Military power of active and ally areas to resolve the conquests. Included with the game are: Area Cards (70) Event Cards (60) Combat Cards (9) Card Backs Block Reference sheet Comprehensive rules with Event Card References The CDs are Readable on Windows Compatible computers. Adobe Acrobat (c) reader (all versions tested) is required. Owners of the game use their own ink-jet or laser printer to make the components of the game on regular paper and standard business card stock.
