Trade reel made by the Shakespeare and Kalamazoo Tackle Companies of Kalamazoo Commercialized exclusively by Heddon Co. of Dowagiac, Mich. Here we have a smoothly operating example of this 100 plus year old level-winding casting reel manufactured early 1930s, in pretty nice preowned condition as seen in the pictures. In 1929 Heddon Co. and Shakespeare Co. reached an agreement, who would supply Heddon with fishing reels until ca. 1940s. This vintage snarl-free Heddon White-House No. 215 it's a testimony to the quality and craftsmanship of American-made fishing reels. It features chromium-plated brass construction, adjustable spool speed control, jeweled caps, level winding moving easily from side to side, firm and loud clicker, double grasp S shaped handle, and unaltered foot reel. Given its age and use, the reel appears to be completely original and fully functional. Mechanically perfect with all controls and adjustments working as intended. No cracks, no missing parts. No wobbling, no crazy sounds. Cosmetically in pretty nice overall condition, with some light plating wear as seen in the pictures. Nice and clean finish with no markings or personalized engravings. I have provided 19 close-up pictures trying to show as many details as possible: oxidation, wear, dirt, scratches, rubs, nicks, or any other blemishes. Condition as shown in the pictures.
