Description: Up for bid is a wonderful vintage birthday postcard. Featured is a colorful lithographic illustration of a lovely post-Victorian era girl wearing period attire. She's holding a big basket overflowing with colorful violets. Below is a beautifully printed greeting. When you supersize image 1 you can see the wonderful details. The artistry's terrific and the colors are still vivid. I'm sure that Frances Brundage, one of the most talented and prolific artists of postcards at the beginning of the last century, has provided the illustration, as it epitomizes her style. Printed in pre-WWI Germany, and published by Raphael Tuck & Sons (one of Brundage's favorite publishers), this beautifully embossed postcard has not been posted and has handwriting on the divided back. Here is a wonderful old card that is ready for framing. It will make a thoughtful gift or can be added to your postcard collection. Some lucky collector gets to take this lovely card home. Will it be you?!? GIRL, BASKET Of VIOLETS Beautiful TUCK Uns.
