There are a couple of inclusions visible to the naked eye (Atoll (bubble) and Fingerprint (feather)), which I have magnified 40x in the photographs. These are VERY small but are visible to the naked eye. The cut of the sapphire is slightly uneven oval with a heavier pavilion. The stone was cut this way in order to preserve as much carat weight as possible. This is a common practice when a large no heat rough is found, which is VERY RARE. She is truly a beauty at this price. I HUNT for sapphires daily ;-) and it’s rare to find an unheated and untreated sapphire (which make up only 5% of all sapphires, with most being under 3ct) with such a large carat weight, a stunning cornflower blue color, and only two very small inclusions in a stone of this magnitude.
