Gelasine coerulea Seeds - Rare Iris Relative

Description: Gelasine coerulea Seeds A very beautiful Brazilian Iris relative with light, sky-blue flowers with a lilac cast. The plants have slender, Iris-like leaves, and 2", glistening flowers that are short-lived, only lasting one day, but multiple flowers will continue to bloom on each 12-20" stem. In mild climates the bulbs will be evergreen, and can bloom from early spring well into late fall, especially when not allowed to set seed, or to ever dry out. In my cool northern California coastal climate, I grow the plants in large pots, and the plants only go dormant for a very short period of time in winter, even though they receive rain and stay constantly moist. Requires full sun in well-drained soil, and the richer the soil, the happier the plant. Hardy zones 9 and up, the corms will need to be protected from hard freeze. One packet contains 15+ freshly harvested seeds and detailed sowing instructions. Please note: The seeds are fresh and viable - success in their germination is up to you, and will be achieved by carefully following the instructions included with your seeds. Sowing seeds requires cleanliness, practice and patience, and frequently have specific requirements and pretreatments. There is a learning curve. I say this because people generally blame the seeds or the seller for a failure in germination, when, in actuality, it is generally because of the one doing the sowing...
