Description: 3eme BATAILLION du MARCHE de la LEGION ETRANGERE. Created in 1962 in Algeria from elements of the 3 REI the unit was disbanded in November 1964. Gilt, dark green & red enamel. The reverse is marked ARTHUS BERTRAND 43 R DE RENNES PARIS Also marked with the official government approval number G1883 (homologation) Bertrand hallmark on the left side of the pastille, but hard to see in the image. NOTE: There are some wear areas on the high points of the front of the badge and a spot on the reverse. Pin is floppy and slightly deformed. Some marks on the pastille which look like someone tried to tighten up the pin.
