In 1978 and 1979, Topps did not produce individual game World Series cards chronicling the previous year's Series, as they had done many years in the past and also in the future. I have taken matters into my own hands by creating a custom 8-card set for the 1977 Series (6 individual games, a celebration card, AND an alternate Game 3 card), AND a custom 9-card set for the 1978 Series (6 individual games, a celebration card, AND cards for the Yankees' ALCS victory over the Kansas City Royals, as well as their exciting one-game playoff win over the Boston Red Sox)! Cards feature photos of key players that were actually from the game depicted, players such as REGGIE JACKSON, THURMAN MUNSON, RON GUIDRY, MIKE TORREZ, REGGIE SMITH, BUCKY DENT, BRIAN DOYLE, DAVEY LOPES, BOB WELCH, JIM BEATTIE and RON CEY. Cards measure approximately standard card size of 2-1/2 inches by 3-1/2 inches, and are cut on a large paper cutter so the edges are straight and sharp! They are printed on matte finish photo paper (11 mil thickness, much thicker than standard printer paper but not quite as thick as a Topps baseball card). The paper is thick enough that they will not curl, and they will fit in storage pages or sleeves/holders very nicely. The cards also have a full printed back with game information.
