Description: This oil painting shows a stream flowing through the woods on a snowy winter day. It is oil on board. The painting measures 10" x 8" and with frame it measures 14" x 12". This painting was purchased as a group of three paintings from an estate. They all had the same frame were oil on board and the same style. One of the paintings, that I currently have listed on eBay, is signed Erickson and dated 1954. This painting isn't signed or dated but was done at the same time by the same artist. The painting is held loosely in the frame with tape. The painting is in good vintage condition. Frank Erickson (1922-1989) is listed in the Dictionary of Utah Art (1980) as "a Utah painter of the present period," who "has shown his work at Phranque's Gallery," in Salt Lake City.
