Description: Fender FSR MIJ Traditional II Late 60s Jazz Bass Ice Blue MetallicWhy we like itDistilled essence of old school Jazz Bass growly mids, brightness, and fat, warm bass in a beautifully crafted new school cool Ice Blue Metallic made in Japan build. A very distinct spec even among FSR models with matching headstock and select details reminiscent of late 1960s Jazz Basses. We are big fans of Fender MIJ Traditional series instruments as they represent incredible value for money with impeccable build quality and superb tone.ConditionThis bass is in Mint (as new) condition. It was purchased new, was never displayed in a showroom, and has no signs of prior use. Factory plastic film is still on the tuning keys, pickups, and pickguard. The truss rod is in good working order with adjustability in both directions. The neck is straight with no signs of warping or waviness. The electronics are in perfect working order. This bass weighs in at 9 pounds and feels well balanced in use. This bass will include the original Fender gig bag, warranty card, and tools. It has been set up with medium (2.5mm) action, optimal relief, pickup height set, and dialed-in intonation. OverviewThis specification was made as a 2024 Fender Special Run limited to a single Japanese retailer that sold out quickly. Distinctly modeled after late1960s Jazz Basses, this bass features a basswood body with Ice Blue Metallic gloss polyester finish and White Pearloid 3-ply pickguard. Atop the vintage natural finish 2-piece maple neck is an incredible matching headstock. The fingerboard is a thick slab of lovely classically grained with 20 expertly finished Vintage frets. The neck sports a Jazz Bass familiar 1.5-inch (38.1mm) nut width and U-profile that provides a bit of shoulder while still feeling quick and comfortable. Additional distinct features include crème fingerboard binding, block inlays, and lollipop vintage-style tuners. The specs of this instrument lend it a Goldilocks quality of “just right” in terms of feel and tone that’ll leave you wanting to keep digging in.Electronics and ToneThe original Vintage-Style Single-Coil Jazz Bass pickups do a great job of conjuring up our favorite aspects of early 1960s Jazz Bass tone. The neck pickup brings just enough warmth and rich bass while maintaining punch and clarity. The bridge pickup helps dish out lovely midrange growl and defined, snappy treble. Controls are traditional neck volume, bridge volume, and tone.Specifications Body Material: BasswoodBody Finish: Ice Blue Metallic Gloss PolyesterNeck Material : MapleNeck Shape: UFingerboard Material: RosewoodNumber of Frets: 20Fret Size: Vintage-StyleFingerboard Radius: 9.5 inch / 241mmScale Length: 34" (864 mm)Bridge: 4-Saddle Vintage-StyleNeck Plate: 4-BoltNut Material: BoneNut Width: 1.50" (38.1 mm)Pickups: Vintage-Style Single-Coil Jazz BassControls: Neck Volume, Bridge Volume, ToneHardware Finish: ChromeYear of manufacture: 2024Country of manufacture: JapanWeight: 9 lbs At Professor Nigel's, we appreciate that you want to get a great product at the best price and want to make your purchase experience an enjoyable one.
