Sirens that are equipped with Pulsators typically have the "P" prefix, for example, a Model 28 with a PULSATOR became a Model P-28, and a Model 66G became a Model P-66G with the PULSATOR added. The concept of the PULSATOR was to make the siren's sound more distinct amidst the suburban noise of larger cities.
