Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE FABULOUS VINTAGE 14K YG YELLOW GOLD DIAMOND & COLORED TOURMALINE LINK BRACELET This is a very nice quality and absolutely stunningly beautiful link style bracelet. It is made of 14K yellow gold and set with seven (7) large oval faceted various color tourmaline gemstones and by my count, twenty-two (22) round white diamonds. One of the nicest things about this bracelet, in my opinion is that the stones all appear to me to be of very high quality. The diamonds all appear to me to be nice and white in color and sparkle brilliantly in the light and the tourmalines all display vivid color as well. The bracelet has a very secure “locking clasp” and a “safety” locking clasp too. The bracelet in my photos is the actual bracelet you will receive. Please be sure to read the “AGE AND CONDITION” and “APPROXIMATE DIMENSIONS” paragraphs below. The bracelet is marked on the underside of the catch for the clasp “14KP” along with another hallmark that reads “KGJ”, which I am taking to be the maker’s mark. The “14KP” mark stands for “14K plumb gold”, which, from what I have read, when stamped on this bracelet means it is guaranteed to contain 58.33% gold or more. The “KGJ” mark is most likely for K. Goldschmidt Jewelers in New York, NY, who since 1940 have specialized in making “antique style” fine jewelry. I am not a jeweler or a gemologist, or an expert on jewelry, but I am an honest person and I will give you my honest opinion on the size of the stones. Using a jeweler’s loupe and a ruler graduated in millimeters I measured the stones as follows. The largest tourmaline, the amber center stone, measures about 8 mm x 6 mm. The two largest green tourmalines measure about 7 mm x 5 mm. The four smallest tourmalines (2 red & 2 green) each measure about 6 mm x 4mm. The diamonds (22 of them), by my count and measurement, are as follows: The eight (8) largest diamonds all measure about 3.5 mm in diameter. The fourteen (14) smaller diamonds all measure about 1.5 to 2 mm in diameter. I purchased this bracelet in 2002 from an antiques shop (Annette’s of Rue Royal, LLC) in New Orleans, Louisiana. As is the case with all of my fine jewelry the bracelet has been well cared for in my smoke and pet free home. I want to be clear that I am not an expert on jewelry. I have purchased many pieces of fine jewelry, like this bracelet, over the years for my personal use and am in the process of selling off some of the pieces that I choose to no longer wear. I tried to buy from what I believed to be reputable sources and have enjoyed these pieces immensely over the years. In this case I did not have this bracelet appraised or checked by a jeweler but did receive an appraisal from the antiques shop in New Orleans, where I bought it. A copy of this appraisal is included in my photos. I am also describing the bracelet exactly as I remember it being described to me when I originally purchased it in 2002. I do my best to describe all items as accurately and honestly as possible and to the best of my ability. Some of my photos may be somewhat lighter or darker than actual to better show detail or color. Age and Condition Probably circa mid-20th century. It is in excellent to near mint original condition. Please look closely at the photos as they are an important part of my description of this item. There are no dings or breaks and no missing stones. I examined the bracelet with a jeweler’s loupe and other than some light signs of use or wear see no problems. There may be a tiny bit of tarnish to the metal on the inside of the bracelet. It is beautiful and ready to wear. Please keep in mind these photos may be blown up at least 8-10 times normal, so anything you see will look 8-10 times larger in the photos than it really is. Please note: if you see a dark spot in the photos, it is from my camera and is not a mark on the piece. It will be either just to the right of center towards the bottom or slightly above center on the right side of the photo. Approximate Dimensions The bracelet is about 7-1/4” in overall length (18.4 cm). My wrist is about 6” (15.2 cm) around and the bracelet fits me fine, not tight at all) – see my photos. The bracelet is about .375” (1 cm) across at the widest point and about .1875” (0.5 cm) in overall thickness. Approximate Weight About .5 ounce (14 grams).
