Description: A lovely Art Deco belt buckle in wonderful condition. Dazzling rhinestones are set in crisp lines with ingeniously placed openwork highlights, complete with original peach-colored crêpe silk. The crêpe belt is hand-stitched to the buckle. It is truly an exciting thing to find a 100 year old belt with its original silk fully intact! The crêpe is in incredible condition for its age and will photograph well, but is unlikely to survive more than very light wear. The buckle is beautiful, with square and round rhinestone creating a sparkling juxtaposition of shapes. A fantastic addition to your vintage wardrobe! Circa 1920s. Measurements: Entire piece is roughly 27.5 inches long, cloth belt is just under 1 inch wide. Buckle measures 3.64"/92.5mm when clasped shut, and is 1.16"/29.5mm at its widest points. Condition: Fabric is in good condition for its age with some visible wear; a tear near one side of the buckle, worn spots, and some stains. The buckle is in great antique condition. Age appropriate wear can be seen. Please review photos carefully. At least one rhinestone has been replaced, and there is some very mild discoloration. Used/Vintage.
