Section also includes WWII themed full page Joe Palooka, Barney Baxter (with very politically incorrect depiction of Japanese soldiers) LIL ABNER by Al Capp, Captain Easy by Roy Crane, Fontaine Fox's Toonerville Folks, Dixie Dugan, full page Camel Cigarettes comic strip ad,Henry, Napoleon, The Nut Bros, Major Hoople, Hap Hooper Washington Correspondent by Drew Pearson with Sparling art and full page My-T-Fine pie filling comic strip ad. Bottom panels of each page features comic strip character play money images including Superman, Tarzan and others. Section is in overall Very Fine Condition. Pages are off white, free of any rips, tears, edge browning or chipping. Only defect is a 2 1/2” x4” neatly cut out coupon that effects two panels of the Mickey Finn strip on one side and two panels from the Black Bear strip on the other side. Superman page is just about pristine. Overall a great, highly collectible Sunday comics section with great Siegel & Shuster full page Superman strip!
