You will get a 6 inch cutting from a very mature plant which can be planted in soil right away. Keep it lightly to no moisture for two weeks, after that you can water the cutting. You can also place the cutting in water until roots appear. This plant gives flowers fairly quick after the roots grow if it's growing season. In between growing seasons it's a good time to plant cuttings so roots are stronger before growing season. Epiphyllums are easy to grow. They are quite tolerant of neglect, in fact, they can actually benefit from neglect once they are established. Flower is white (Hookeri).
