Description: Epiphone Crestwood Custom Cherry Red Epiphone Crestwood Custom Cherry Red The Epiphone Crestwood Custom celebrates a pioneering early electric guitar design. Back in the day, the Epiphone Crestwood Custom shared the factory floor with Gibson’s now-historic instruments at Gibson’s Kalamazoo, Michigan, factory. Like its siblings, the Epiphone Coronet and the Epiphone Wilshire, the Crestwood Custom has the soul of a garage rocker, evoking the subversive sound of bands like The 13th Floor Elevators, ? & the Mysterians, and MC5. This contemporary incarnation features all the hallmarks of the original design: a symmetrical double-cutaway mahogany body, a set mahogany neck, two-vintage-voiced mini humbuckers, and a slick Tremotone vibrato tailpiece. Still, this is a fully modern machine with top-notch appointments, including high-quality CTS pots, a Graph Tech nut and saddles, a reduced-size Kalamazoo headstock with an Epiphone Bikini badge, and a lightning-fast 12-inch-radius fingerboard. Guitarists have been clamoring for a re-release of this cult classic. Now that it’s here, we can’t keep our hands off of it! Introduced on vintage Epiphone model guitars in the 1950s and 1960s, mini humbuckers have a lasting legacy. They're particularly favored by legions of guitarists who prefer tones outside of normal humbucker or single-coil sounds. The Epiphone Crestwood Custom’s PRO mini humbuckers retain the functionality of Epiphone’s legendary mini humbuckers while giving you a bright, focused tone with a distinctive top-end chime and midrange bite. They’re the perfect complement to the Epiphone Crestwood Custom’s undeniable rock ’n’ roll attitude. The Epiphone Crestwood Custom offers the perfect combination of an old-school, hand-filling medium "C"-shaped neck and a modern-feeling, 12-inch-radius Indian laurel fingerboard. Whether you’re banging out a punk progression or whipping out tight chord stabs, the Crestwood Custom will feel like an extension of your body. And while this isn’t the most shred-friendly axe on the planet, the Crestwood Custom’s double-cut solidbody makes accessing all of its 22 medium-jumbo frets effortless. To top it off, this vintage-style guitar’s glued-in neck construction enables it to sustain with no end. Strapping on the Crestwood Custom will make you look like the coolest guitarist on your scene. This idiosyncratic, head-turning axe starts with an early-model, symmetrical double-cutaway shape, but it doesn’t stop there. Its distinctively shaped pickguard is emblazoned with an eye-catching stylized “E” logo, and its reduced-size Kalamazoo headstock is adorned with an impossible-to-ignore Epiphone Bikini badge. Period-correct top hat knobs and ivory tuning buttons complete this guitar’s killer look. This guitar is in excellent condition with little to no visible playwear. It does not come with a hardshell case or a gig bag., Features: Spot-on re-creation of the earliest Epiphone Crestwood models Symmetrical double-cutaway mahogany body supplies easy fret access Glued-in mahogany neck facilitates extra sustain Easy-playing medium "C"-shaped neck with a 12-inch-radius, 22-fret Indian laurel fingerboard Mini humbucker pickups produce biting midrange and a bright, focused top end High-quality CTS potentiometers ensure the best sound possible Rock-solid LockTone Tune-o-matic bridge with Tremotone vibrato tailpiece Distinctively shaped pickguard emblazoned with an eye-catching stylized “E” logo Reduced-size Kalamazoo headstock with an attention-grabbing Epiphone Bikini badge Period-correct top hat knobs and ivory tuning buttons Ryan Fowler's Guitar Experience is one of Maryland's premier brick and mortar guitar shops.
