Description: Elgin Grade 315 Model 3 12 Size Octagonal Gold Filled Pocket Watch ca. 1924. This vintage Elgin grade 315, model 3, 15 jewel, 12 size, open face pocket watch has a gold filled octagonal case measuring approximately 43.6mm x 2 1/4 inches long including bow. The case back is engraved "FIF" with detailing along the edge. The case has average wear for it's age, as pictured. The silver metallic dial has black Arabic numerals, blue cross bar diamond hands, a single sunk seconds register at six and is marked "Elgin". The dial is in great vintage condition. The crystal has very light surface wear. The inside case is stamped "Guaranteed 25 Years - Illinois Watch Case Co. - Elgin - Tivoli - Gold Filled 14K - Guaranteed - Marty to Frank - 12 25 23 Frank I. Folsom". The nickel movement is stamped "Elgin Nat'l Watch Co. - U.S.A. - 15 Jewels - 26046459". All screws and jewels appear to be in good condition. Stem wind and set. This watch is running.
