It is indicated for management of partial & full-thickness wounds, ideally as filler for dry cavity wounds to provide moist healing environment. It is a sterile gel composed of natural hydrocolloids(pectin, sodium arboxymethylcellulose) in a clear, viscous vehicle. It forms moist wound environment that is supportive of healing process by aiding autolytic debridement and allowing non-traumatic removal of secondary dressing without damaging newly formed tissue.
