The lever automatically lifts to allow the coupler socket to receive the 2-5/16" hitch ball, and once seated, the latch snaps into its locked position with a reassuring click, ensuring safety. This coupler has a 21,000 lb capacity, is zinc-plated for durability, and has been salt spray tested for 200 hours. It features a low-profile composite eZ Latch mechanism and can be bolted onto a 3" wide channel using a four-hole staggered bolt pattern, with various mounting options. The top row of mounting holes has specific center-to-center measurements, while the bottom mounting hole is slightly lower and set back. A repair kit (6008D) is available, and optional safety pins, including a 5/16" x 3-1/2" pin (21987) and locking pins (5685), are sold separately.
