Classic HORROR MOVIE Modern Day REMAKES! One DOZEN DVDs & Blu-ray Discs! Scary!!

Description: It's been said that Hollywood hasn't had an original thought in fifty years. Though that statement may be argumentative, it IS true that Hollywood loves to remake movies! A remake, or reboot, is taking a film from however many years ago, usually using the exact same title, and releasing it with the year in parenthesis, (to differentiate from the original.) Today we have a 12 pack of horror movie remakes, and just in time for Halloween next month! We'll start with 'Poltergeist', from 2015. It's a remake of the first 'Poltergeist', released in 1982. There were three films and a TV series based on the original. This is a Blu-ray, Region A. Disc and case look great. Next up is 'Friday the 13th', from 2009. A remake of the original franchise (rolled into one), which first came out in 1980. This remake is bloodier, scarier, and with tons of special effects! On DVD. Disc looks good, with only a few very light surface marks on it. Nothing bad, or that will affect play. Case looks good. The 'Killer Cut'. NTSC region 1. In 2014, TEN years ago, they remade 'Rosemary's Baby', and released it on NBC television, in two parts. The original came out in 1968, and was based on a 1967 novel. This remake is on DVD, and NTSC region 1. Disc has only a couple of very light surface marks on it. Hardly noticeable, and that won't affect play. Case looks new. Chucky is up next with 'Child's Play', released in 2019. Based on the franchise that began in 1988. This one is both a remake AND a reboot. (Long story...) The voice of the killer doll is Mark Hamill (of 'Star Wars' fame) this time instead of Brad Dourif, who voiced Chucky in all of the original movies. On Blu-ray, and region A. In a slipcover. Disc itself looks new, and is shiny and clean. Case also looks new. The movie 'Willard' originally came out in 1971. The soundtrack even featured the theme song by the Jackson 5, with a young Michael Jackson singing "Ben". There's a sequel named 'Ben', released the following year, in 1972. This is the remake of the first, from 2003. Crispin Glover plays the lead character Willard, and the movie is both creepy and scary. On DVD. NTSC region 1. Two-sided disc looks really good, with only a few very light surface marks on both sides. Case looks good. Freddie Krueger was reborn in 2010, this time starring Jackie Earl Haley as Freddie. The 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' franchise began with its first film in 1984, and celebrates its FORTY year anniversary this year! They wisely stopped with this one remake/reboot. You don't want to remake entire franchises! It's really scary, and has pretty great special effects at times. And you learn all about Freddie and his origins! On DVD, and NTSC region 1. The disc itself has several marks on it, but nothing too bad, or that will affect play. Case looks good. 'The Mummy' was a horror and adventure thriller that first came out in 1932. Remade in 1999, and starring Brendan Fraser. Then came several sequels and spin-offs. In 2017, it was remade once again, this time with Tom Cruise. This copy is on Blu-ray. Disc and case look new. I'm assuming region A or region free (it doesn't say). Next up is the remake of the 2004 movie 'Hellboy' (TWENTY years old). That first one is based on the '93 comic. This is the 2019 remake, in a Blu-ray steelbook, with a DVD added! (Region A for the Blu-ray, and region 1 for the DVD.) In a nice slipcover. Outside of the steelbook itself has some aging, but it actually looks like it's supposed to be that way! Next we move on to Rob Zombie's remake of a true horror classic: 'Halloween'! Originally released in 1978, it became a decades long franchise. They even did modern day 'continuations', which were three movies that fast forwarded to the present day era. (Not really remakes.) But Rob Zombie tried his hand at it in 2007. And he actually did a really good job! Much more time is spent on the origins of Michael Myers, and Rob doesn't hold back on the blood and gore. This is the Blockbuster special edition with deleted scenes, commentary, and a conversation with Rob Zombie. Disc has only a few very light surface marks on it. Nothing bad, or that will affect play. Case looks great. Stephen King's classic 'Pet Sematary' was based on his novel of the same name, and it came out in 1983. In 2019, it was remade. That remake is here, and on Blu-ray. Region A. The Blu-ray disc itself looks new, and is shiny and clean. DVD has a few light surface marks on it. Case looks great. Almost twenty years ago, in 2005, the movie 'Amityville Horror' was remade, and stars Ryan Reynolds. The original was released in 1979. Reynolds nails the creepy role of the father, and there's plenty of scares and thrills. DVD disc looks great, with only a few very light surface marks on it. Hardly noticable, and nothing that will affect play. Case looks great. NTSC region 1. And we'll end with the reboot of 'Fright Night', originally released in 1985. This time, it's Colin Farrell starring in the 2011 version. This combo is both a DVD, as well as a Blu-ray. DVD is NTSC region 1. Blu-ray is region free. Blu-ray looks new, and the DVD has some very light 'cloudiness' on it, which doesn't affect play. Case and slipcover look new. And...since we just survived another Friday the 13th, and it's getting close to Halloween, and the number 13 is scary enough on its own, I'll add a THIRTEENTH remake to this already incredible deal!
