Description: CHOICE 1810 CAPPED BUST HALF PCGS CERTIFIED VF DETAIL LAVISHLY TONED EXAMPLE Greetings fans of Early American Silver! PCGS gave this CBH a 'Detail' grade due to some perceived cleaning, which comes as little surprise given the coin's over 200 years of existence. It may even be a case of 'CircCam' but who's to say after two centuries. At any rate, I've owned this coin for decades and this is the first time it's ever been offered on the open market as a certified example. So, we have a PCGS Certified VF example, "Cleaned" but NOT "Damaged", NOT "Questionable Color", NOT "Scratched" even (though there are clearly a couple scratches on the obverse.) And it has possibly the loveliest color we've ever seen on an early half dollar. NB: the prominent die break on the lower obverse is characteristic of the issue. See what you think and make an offer! Slab condition: A+ As you may see in the photos, slight differences in lighting and in viewing angles produce markedly different effects in toned coins. It's for this reason that we have included a variety of shots, to enable a comprehensive view of this remarkable survivor. FREE SHIPPING & RETURNS ON ALL COINS. Your satisfaction guaranteed as always. Please note: Listing photographs taken with natural daylighting and (PCGS shots) LED light. Thank you for your interest and good luck bidding!
