Description: This is a beautiful antique original political map of the United States of America, dated 1885. The map is an Atlas map and was drawn by James Monteith. It shows the country in great detail and is a great piece of history. It was published by A. S. Barnes and Company and measures approximately 19" x 12 1/4". It is a double page atlas map. The seam is reinforced with museum grade invisible archival mending tape. There is also a very small tear on the bottom margin edge that has been repaired with archival mending tape. All repairs were done from the reverse side so as not to be visible. I have included these in the pictures. Any other questions, please feel free to ask. Note.
