Very useful for both extending the gateway's reach and converting devices like desktop PCs without wireless function to wireless (by connection to the unit via LAN cable). These were used throughout the house and worked flawlessly. Devices connected to the network will automatically connect/disconnect for seamless operation. Pairing to the gateway is simple and can be performed several different ways. The Smart Home Manager app makes this exceptionally easy. Detailed instructions are available on the AT&T website.
