Description: Normal 0 21 false false false DE ZH-CN X-NONE This book is definitely not your typical picture-book for the enthusiastic Aston Martin aficionado. It is much more than that and something else entirely. Though inside the book you will find a decent variety of fabulous pictures of the exquisite beauty that is the Aston Martin One77, the intent of the creators of the book is not to amuse the eye but to let you participate in the unique journey of creating the pinnacle in Aston Martins history. Needless to say the pictures inside the book have not been made public, nor are they accessible through online-sources. Now of course the question arises what motivated the Aston Martin representatives to create such a jewel of a book without cashing in on it. Well, the reason is that it was produced to complete the experience that Aston Martin is. When the 77 buyers of the car picked up their part of automotive history at the Aston Martin headquarters in Gaydon, England, the book was handed over to them as a gift from Aston Martin CEO Dr Ulrich Bez personally - letting the lucky driver understand the work and effort that went into creating this masterpiece. The wonderful symbiosis of traditional craftsmanship driven to perfection, state of the art machining and laminating processes and the use of high tech materials is beautifully captured inside the book. The perfectly proportioned curves of the car cover so many more gorgeous engineering solutions underneath its skin, that are masterpieces themselves and would have been hidden for the eye eternally without the book. The book is covered in black cord and finished with the symbol of excellence, an original Aston Martin emblem, handcrafted in England, thus providing for an excellent opportunity to keep up the spirit of the Aston Martin experience even when not behind the wheel. This is a book that lets you be part of one of the more beautiful moments in automotive history. If this notion doesn’t hold such a high value for you, then it still makes for a perfect embellishment on your bookshelf. This book was never meant to be available for anyone else but the 77 owners of the car, what makes it rather exclusive. I got it from one of the lucky buyers and it was kept inside a closed cabinet ever since. I never even dared to open it up completely to avoid any stress on its binding and always used gloves when handling it. So it really is brand new.
