Description: This antique wooden Walter Baker Sample Box includes a breakfast cocoa tin with a paper label and four glass bottles. One bottle is missing the lid. All four bottles are wrapped in a cloth that appears to be original, but does have cocoa powder on it. The box has the original brass logo/name plate which says Educational Exhibit, Cocoa and Chocolate, Prepared by Walter Baker & Co. Ltd, Dorchester, Mass, Established 1780. The dove tailed box is in good condition for its age but does have one missing nail on the brass plate which leads to a crack in the wood. Also the box does not latch tightly to keep the box closed, but perhaps this could be fixed by adjusting the hinges. The box measures 9.5” x 5” x 3.5”. Someone could clean the items better or refinish the box if they chose. This is a great advertising item for display.
