Description: This is a heavy glass container used for holding pointed ice cream cones “back in the day”.The walls of the glass container are quite thick and have wavy lines and bubbles. There is a small spot that appears to be a chip on the inner rim, but I believe it to be from an air bubble close to the surface that became ruptured, so to speak. It does not show when the lid is on.The container has a metal lid with a chain hanging from the underside of it. That chain suspends the metal piece that holds the cones, when the lid is removed, all the cones are raised up to be taken out and used. It’s quite clever. This item was obtained from the estate of a very discerning collector, who traveled far and wide to obtain authentic items in excellent condition for a replica ice cream parlor and barber shop in his home. The overall height of the item is 14” and it is 6“ in diameter. It is in great vintage condition but does have a small amount of corrosion in the area of the holes that hold the cones. The lid is pretty much “perfect“.Please see photos. PLEASE NOTE: The ice cream cones that are shown in the main picture are included in the sale if you want them. If you do not want them, I will just dispose of them. While I will take the utmost care in trying to assure that they arrive at their destination unbroken, there is no guarantee. I am currently listing a couple of other vintage soda fountain/ice cream parlor items. Please take a look. This is a relatively heavy piece, thus the higher than usual shipping charge. Please ask any questions you may have before making a purchase, as I do not accept returns. Thanks for looking!!
