Description: Sargent mortise lock #883R Patented June 18,1878. Originally I believe it to be a store front lock. Ornately detailed cast bronze front is straight and save for a few light scratches in excellent condition. The case has been restored, stripped down to bare rust-free metal. The cast iron has been repainted and all interior parts have been cleaned and/or polished and all parts checked. Comes with the key shown. I cannot verify that is original but it works. Please remember that this is an old piece, well over 140 years old, so it will NEVER EVER be perfect and will always show some evidence of natural wear. R-125
