Antique Reproduction Mein Liebling Artist Doll

Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Very well done artist reproduction doll of the famous Mein Leibling 'My Darling" character doll originally made by Simon & Halbig for Kammer & Reinhardt. This pretty doll truly represents the original with the deep molding around the eyes, chubby cheeks slight curled up smile and almond down turned shaped eyes. Her eyebrows are slightly feathered and not over painted. She was very well painted by the artist, with what I think is a very good likeness to the original. She is only signed Diane, 8/99 on the back side of her bisque head that has the signature K & R and mold number 117. She is in good condition for her age being 25 years old. Her body, a fully articulating ball jointed type has some minor scruffs from age. She is well strung but has been in a sitting position so I find that she needs a little help with her legs as they can turn a bit, but she stands fine once she's in place and the stringing is not old. Her body is a very heavy plastic so the doll is not light. She has all fingers and toes and can hold positions fine. She is wearing a pretty pink vintage dress; under it she has on an antique under slip, vintage pantaloons, socks and shoes. The dress and under slip are older and do have some repairs but I think she displays well in it. The little flower cap is pinned onto her human hair wig that is glued in place. I have not removed it, but I visually and physically inspected her with a flashlight and I see no cracks or repairs. She holds a little vintage posy bouquet that's a nice match to her bonnet but she can hold almost anything that isn't too heavy for her.She is a very nice reproduction artist doll to complete one's collection of the historically famous dolls. She and her clothing have been washed and dried, the dress, slip and pantaloons steam pressed as well so she is ready for play or display.
