Description: This is a hard to find Victorian presentation jewelry box fitted for long dangle earrings. The outside case is faux tortoise lacquered paper or leather with a push button opener. The interior is light gold. The upper is gold silk with branding in black: Jewellers, W. Wright Ldt Established 1848. The filled bottom is for wire top dangle teardrop earrings. The imprint on the velvet is for about 2” drops but could accommodate longer. The ear wires are for the Sheppard hook type but most like would work for any wire. And most long dangle earrings. They wouldn’t have to fit the pattern. Condition: excellent for age and normal wear. Has slight age staining to the interior Measurements: 3 1/2 inches long X 2 6/16 wide x 3/4 inches deep.
