Description: Gorgeous blue almost a baby blue Majolica oval platter with wild rose pattern. Not sure of country of origin but from similar items they put it as French. The only marking in the bottom is what appears to be an X W . Platter measures 13-1/2" (outer edge) by 11-1/4" (outer edge) by approximately 2-1/2" high. A little hard to tell from the photos but platter has a bit of a swoop design, study the next to last photo. Overall condition is very nice, I'm not finding any cracks or chips. A couple of tiny tiny nicks or fleabites, it may be an imperfection in the glaze on the edge when you run your finger around the edge. I don't know what to call it, it's more noticeable to the touch than visible. Some dimpling to the glaze this show in the 1st and 2nd photo, I'm just pointing it out, it's the way it was made. Just a beautiful piece to display. Carefully packed for safe delivery.
