The very large axe head is branded but hard to read, the first 4 letters in the name are "Kron" or "Fron". The axe is also marked with the "hammer & tongs" blacksmith logo, it's origin "Germany" and "5 lbs". This axe is ready for use if you desire as it is in solid shape with some surface pitting and a somewhat flattened head. The axe head is 8" long, 3 5/8" wide on the strike end, 5 1/4" wide on the cutting end and weighs 4 lbs 12 oz.
