Description: For sale is a ornate, brilliantly colored, well preserved, Vietnamese, high temperature fired porcelain elephant table. Purchased in Viet Nam and single-owner placed in Sherman Oaks, it spent its life here in Southern California where the arid climate and moderate seasonal fluctuation tends to be more forgiving to ceramic yard art compared to more weather volatile regions of the United States where freezing and thawing can be detrimental to glaze and shorten lifespan dramatically. Very few downsides to this example. The tusks are still there with just the very tips having been chipped. There is crazing commensurate with age and the outdoors application in which it was used. No substantial cracks or chips. The clay seam on the seat existed prior to being fired and is not a crack. This is a very VERY nice example of the Chinese influenced Yard Art genre that has existed in/from Viet Nam for hundreds of years. This genuine porcelain yard art is substantial in size and weight. It will be pricey to ship (courier cost) and will require a sophisticated handling protocol to ensure it arrives safely. DIMENSIONS:24" Tall24" Trunk-to-tail11" Wide
