Antique German Bisque Heubach Wiefel & Co Doll Kid Leather Body Stationary Eyes

Description: This listing is for an antique German doll recently purchased from a local doll auction. She was made by Ernst Heubach and Weifel and Company in the early 1900s. She has a shoulder bisque head with brown glass stationary eyes and and an open mouth. There are upper and lower painted eyelashes and her eyebrows are painted with single strokes. Her brows are slightly offset giving her a quizzical look. She has a kid leather body with cloth lower legs. She is marked with the horseshoe impression used by Ernst Heubach and under the leather, she is marked "W&C 9/0". She is dressed in an antique and handmade white cotton dress with pin tucks and lace. It buttons in the back with tiny mother of pearl buttons. Under her dress, she wears an adorable one piece pantaloons/camisole set with eyelet and lace trim around the legs. She also has a cotton petticoat, long black knit socks and modern 70s replacement Granny boots. She also has a pink silk bonnet with lace trim that is antique but not original to the doll as it is much too big for her. She stands approx. 16 1/2" tall. Condition: Good. There are no cracks, chips or hairlines in the bisque head but there is rub on her eyebrow and wear on the painted lashes. There is some glue residue and white staining around the upper edge of the bisque head. Her wig is missing. One of her thumbs has a crack. There is some scuff, wear and staining on the body and there is an old repair around one of the knee joints. The lace trim around the neck of the dress is torn and there is brown age spots and staining on the clothing. The heel of one of the boots needs to re-glued.
