This is another rather scarce to find clock made and sold after 1864 by the E. N. Welch Clock Co. at Forestville, Connecticut. It has the original signed E. N. Welch 8 day time, strike and alarm movement that is in really nice condition. It is still running, keeping time and gonging properly. It has the original label inside that is still in nice readable condition. The reverse painted bottom glass is very nice. It appears to have been replaced, but is well done and matches nicely. The original painted dial is aged, but very nice for being as old as it is, and has beautiful maltese styly hands. The case and finish are also in good condition, showing normal age and wear, but still far nicer than you usually find them. The case measures 19 1/4" " tall x 10" wide x 4" deep. This clock also has what appears to be the original pendulum and a key that fits. In rare instances there may be a flat rate shipping price quoted. Smaller items can be combined to save shipping costs. Because clocks require large boxes, Priority Mail is expensive. If a clock is running properly when it arrives, that is about the best we can do. We cannot guarantee that a clock will not break down, but will not sell anything that we expect to break down without noting that it is being sold as parts or for restoration.
