The bowl has a handsome shape with a hand cut scalloped border rim. The underside of the bowl is scratch marked ‘CHINA’. We believe it to be made in the first quarter of the 20th Century. It is a lovely color and rings when lightly tapped around the rim with your finger. It is in exceptional condition with only some minor nicks around the rim edges that occurred most likely in the cutting of the scalloped edge. All similar bowls that we have examined in the past show these tiny nicks, so it is quite common to encounter them upon close and carefully examination. It would make a wonderful addition to any collection of antique Chinese glass. Please take the time to carefully examine all the photographs for more details. It is not included in the sale of this item. Measurements: The bowl stands approximately 2-1/2” in height. It measures approximately 5-1/8” across the top in diameter and has a base that measures approximately 1-3/4” across in diameter. This glass bowl weighs approximately 5.6 ounces. All measurements are approximate, but close. Condition: We carefully examined this glass bowl. The glass bowl is in excellent antique condition with the exception of four very tiny nicks around the top rim, most likely caused in the making. These nicks do occur when cutting the rim to form the scalloped edges. They may also be found on the underside of the rim as well (please see photographs). We do not consider this damage, if you do, you may want to look elsewhere. Other than that, NO Chips, Cracks, Scratches, Stains, Repairs or Restorations were noted.
