Description: This Brooks Brothers traveling barware case is a must-have for collectors of all sorts.Crafted from premium leather & silver plate, this case carries three liquor flasks and five cups. Our research shows the J Dixon and sons mark to be from 1835-1920, so this piece's age can be anywhere in that range. The 3 different flask sizes are:Small measures 2"w x 1"d x 8"t, the lid adds a 1/2" above the 8" height - capacity not marked Medium measures 4"w x 1"d x 8"t, the lid adds a 1/2" above the 8" height - capacity not marked Large measures 6 1/4"w x 1"d x 8"t, the lid adds a 1/2" above the 8" height - capacity not marked All are stamped on the bottom (see pics) "Brooks Bros New York, Made in England, James Dixon & Sons Sheffield"The large unit is also stamped "L1984"The small unit is flat, the medium unit is slightly concave, and the large unit is slightly convex. The small flask doesn't open, but the other 2 do. There are 5 cups included with the case - 3 are measures, and 2 are drinking......I thinkThey are all marked "Brooks Bros New York, Made in England, James Dixon & Sons Sheffield"The measures also say "L396/6 1/8" Pint and a 2 digit number (19, 25, 46)The drinking cups also say "L396/5" and a 2 digit number (19,58) The leather case is in well worn condition, adorned with some vintage labels and a claim check tag.It measures 13 1/2" x 11 1/2" x 2 1/2" plus the handleThe interior is blue velvet and is in fair condition with some peeling away and some staining.it also has a Brooks Bros label on the lid by the "hinge" which has disconnected from the top cover. There are spaces under the flasks that are empty, and may have contained additional items. What they would have been I can't be sure of as I can't find anything like this out there.
