I bought this 30 years ago from a designers show room, which housed only the finest items, such as Baker Furniture and Fine Antiques. I was told it was centuries old. I paid $849.00 at the time and saved the sales tag, as you can see in the photos. Excellent condition for something so old as this is. It has four stackable compartments; one has a crack, as shown in photo. I bought this as a thing of beauty and also as an investment. I am sure it has appreciated greatly over the 30 years that I've owned it. I have seen some others, similar to this one, over the years and they were sold for $3,500 and up. I have always gotten so many compliments on it. It's a real conversation piece, that is for sure.
