The empire encompassed parts of modern-day Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Eastern Iran and Northern India. One of the most recognizable coins of the period bears an obverse portrait and a horseman on the back. The legend reads “Soter Megas” - the Great Savior.
