Therefore, the function of the audio producing portion of the machine was not tested when the mechanical part of the machine was evaluated. · Both the projector and its case were extensively cleaned to remove dirt and grime. · The projecting lamp was removed to clean the electrical contacts, the reflecting mirror and the collimating lens. · The projecting lens is free of dust, dirt, fungus and haze. · The audio cable to the external speaker is missing. · The projecting unit has some areas where the coating is lifting, occurring primarily in areas that are either handled often (the arms which hold the reels), exposed to high temperatures for long periods of time (the lamp housing) or come into contact with the case with it is removed/installed (the back end edges. That being said, the coating in mostly in place and looks nice. · The power cord is somewhat embrittled. Red electrical tape was used extensively to fortify the cord in areas where the exterior coating was particularly stiff. The coating on the wires inside the cord seemed to be in better condition, which much of the original flexibility remaining. · The lines which run from the main oil port, located on the top of the machine, were almost completely decomposed, so they were removed from the manifold on the inside. Do not all oil to the port until the lines have been restored. The ports that each of the oil lines originally serviced were all lubricated prior to testing. · When powered up, the electric motor, projecting lamp, and film transport mechanism bits all function as designed, as do the knobs which control these located on the side. The audio was not energized. No film was threaded through the machine due to lack of any 16mm film reels. · When testing, the machine was allowed to run with the projecting lamp on for at least a half hour to allow it to reach operating temperatures with no obvious issues. There is noise, but nothing that seems obviously out of character for a mechanical beast like this. · There is no obvious flicker when the projecting lamp is on, and its brightness is constant. · The RPM of the electric motor varies when the speed control knob is turned as it should. · All four of the vacuum tubes are present. · The forward storage tray has some areas where the covering is discolored and torn. · The exterior fabric covering is in mostly good condition, with a few damaged areas. On the base, there is a section that is torn and had pulled away from the wood, but it has been reattached. There is some drops of paint on the top near and on the handle, a hard bump on one of the edges, and a few other scuffs and bumps as shown in the listing photos. · It is missing one of the adjustment knobs · No take-up reel Projection Lens.
