Description: This is a large saber in the line of the Potter swords. There is no makers mark anywhere that I can Find. It has a 35 1/2" blade and is 42" overall and weights in at 2 1/2lbs which is less than similar size Potters. The blade is hollow ground similar to the Major Benjamin Talmadge horseman saber. It comes with the original scabbard that is missing the end and frog, the blade still goes in and out but is a little tight especially when going past the curved tip of the blade since the leather is hard from weathering. The guard has some damage and crack as seen in pictures but is in very good condition for it's age. You just don't see these sword come up for sale often if ever. This ad will be going down in early December as I will be traveling and not able to ship till I return in Jan.
