Its also the setting for the 1986 sequel, Aliens, where a colony established by the Weyland-Yutani Corporation is overrun by the creatures. LV-426 is infamous for being one of the first places where humans encountered the deadly Xenomorph species, leading to numerous tragic events throughout the series.
