90s Barbie + “Made for This” 1992 Earring Magic Orange / Purple Ensemble

Description: If you have ever watched “Project Runway,” you know that color blocking never seems to fall out of favor in the fashion world. This delightful dress and jacket combo is just one example. One of the four outfits in the Earring Magic line of Barbie ensembles, this one features a dress with orange and purple panels and a matching orange cropped jacket. The one-of-a-kind accessories package includes red-orange low boots, a silver belt and necklace with the Barbie B logo, a purple grosgrain purse with red-rimmed sunglasses embellishment, a cellphone held on the wrist with a beaded red and purple stretch bracelet and coordinating hoop earrings. The Barbie B charms used for the belt and necklace double as earrings that Barbie’s “manager” can wear—the gimmick of the Earring Magic series. I have included a photo of the outfit in its original packaging, but I don’t have the packaging. The 90s Barbie is included. She has a twist ‘n turn waist, bendable knees, arms bent at the elbows, blond hair in a ponytail, and big blue eyes. Her lower legs and feet appear to have fallen victim of a kitty cat with a taste for vinyl (see photo).Part of an adult collector’s stash, the outfit is pristine. Everything comes to you from a smoke-free, Barbie-loving home with a Westie that knows better than a kitty cat when it comes to using Barbie as a chew toy.
