Description: This is a rare original program from the 82nd Annual ACADEMY AWARDS ceremony held on March 7th, 2010, at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. The Academy Awards, now known officially as the Oscars, is a set of twenty-four awards for artistic and technical merit in the American film industry, given annually by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), to recognize excellence in cinematic achievements as assessed by the Academy's voting membership. The various category winners are awarded a copy of a golden statuette, officially called the "Academy Award of Merit", which has become commonly known by its nickname "Oscar". The awards, first presented in 1929 at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, are overseen by AMPAS. The awards ceremony was first broadcast on radio in 1930 and televised for the first time in 1953. It is now seen live in more than 200 countries. Honored with six Academy Awards at the 2010 Oscars including "Best Picture" was "THE HURT LOCKER" and the "Best Director" Oscar went to KATHRYN BIGELOW (The Hurt Locker). JEFF BRIDGES won "Best Actor in a Leading Role" for Crazy Heart and SANDRA BULLOCK won "Best Actress in a Leading Role" for The Blind Side. "Best Supporting Actor" went to CHRISTOPH WALTZ for Inglourious Basterds and "Best Supporting Actress" went to MO'NIQUE for Precious. Honorary Academy Awards were presented to LAUREN BACALL, ROGER CORMAN and GORDON WILLIS by Queen Latifah. Hosting the 82nd annual Academy Awards were ALEC BALDWIN and STEVE MARTIN.
