We kept the same original design of the Killer Bee Extraction Hood and put a built-in rain tray underneath. What this allowed us to do is make the front scoop a functional ram air while still keeping some of the heat extraction function. Underneath the hood has 1" additional clearance from stock. This hood still helps with cooling with its built-in underneath extraction located in the back of the hood. This was made with three main points: aggressive design; ram air performance, and keep heat extraction capabilities.FITMENT NOTE: This fits all bumpers for the 2015-2023 Chargers but is made specifically for the SRT/392/Hellcat/Scat Pack Bumper. There are slight differences in the bumpers that can show up in the fitment on the standard SXT/RT bumper. We recommend baking and sanding prior to applying primer and paint. Click here for installation and prep instructions!HOW DIFFICULT ARE THE HOODS TO INSTALL? BMC makes it easy! Disconnect the struts, wiper nozzle tubing and engine compartment lamp. Unbolt the hood from the hinges and remove the hood from the vehicle. Remove all stock hardware from the stock hood and re-install onto the BMC Hood. The Charger has multiple adjustment points (e.g. latch area, fenders and hinges) to assure a perfect fit. We strongly recommend pre-fitting your new hood prior to painting. This will greatly reduce the chance of marring the hood once it is painted.WILL WATER GET INTO THE ENGINE THROUGH THE RAM AIR SCOOP OR VENTS? BMC's manufacturing has developed an effective water management system for all our Ram Air hoods to prevent any water that enters the scoop from making it to the intake. The water is ultimately directed weep holes that allow the water to exit the hood away from the intake and engine.CAN I RE-INSTALL THE STOCK HOOD LINER ON THE NEW HOOD? It is possible but you would need to modify it to make it work. BMC Hoods do not require a hood liner. The primary purpose of a hood liner is to protect the paint from engine heat.
