Description: 2 Miniature Hand Painted Portrait Plates. Two sweet miniature portrait plates. On a white ground each plate is painted with a female portrait and the other a male . Each in historic clothing in yellows, blues, pinks and white. Both have what appears to be blondish hair and blue eyes. Both plates are trimmed in gold gilt paint. Would be great for a doll house. Marked on the reverse of each piece in red the number 6 with a dot. Unsure of the origin , but possibly Italy. Display beautifully. All measurements are approximate: Plates measure 2 5/8" in diameter. Good antique condition to commensurate with age and use. There is some crazing present on the female portrait only.
